Episode 3 (510K) - Airset Calendar

even if you already have an online calendar solution, you need to checkout airset. i use outlook at work and used to use google calendar for home. . .but now i have all events in sync using airset. i exported my google calendar to an ical file, imported it into airset and use the airset desktop sync app to sync my outlook calendar with whatever airset groups i wish. this is a true sync, not just a csv dump. check it out at www.airset.com.

coming up: managing multiple computers.

podcasting issues

our former difficulties have been resolved. i had a hard time tracking down the source of the problems. at first, i thought it may have been a problem with the audio file (since i couldn't upload it to ourmedia and then feedburner didn't recognize it as an external media file). so i remastered the file at different audio levels (7 different configurations) and none of those worked either. a few people suggested that i ftp the file directly to archive.org, which i did. . .but still no enclosures on the audio from feedburner.

i contacted feedburner and, in the process of checking into my difficulty, they accidentally deleted my account. i was able to re-create the account and was all-but-guaranteed success this time. as soon as i created the account, the enclosures were created and we seem to be in business now.

itunes registration went smooth this am and episode 2 was also released (now that it is 3 weeks old). subscriptions through itunes should be available shortly (after they review the podcast). until then, you can use subscribe manually using this feed or by running this link.

new os for old computers

microsoft is offering something to windows 98 customers that may or may not be worthwhile.

episode 1 should be released today. it has been ready for almost a week now, but haven't been able to upload it to ourmedia. if it doesn't work today, i will upload to one of my servers and trust that it won't be downloaded more than 10,000 times per month.
that was a joke.
